The new 2014 Mazda CX-5 is a compact crossover that’s bigger and better than ever! This engine is only offered in automatic. The 2014 Mazda CX-5 is said to be the best handling crossover this year. With the exterior, typically Mazda cars have expressive design, rising window lines, and large wheel arches. Luckily, the front has been toned down to a trapezoidal grille shape. With interior, it has a businesslike look to it, with restrained silver trim and a sporty red piping on the high-level leather seats. Unfortunately, the car is sensitive to colors, but with lighter shades accenting the height of the doors and darker tones giving it a sportier and lower look. There’s good seating space in the front and back. The cargo floor is a little higher than other rival models, and the lead floor is flat and long, but overall the 2014 Mazda CX-5 has a refined and quiet interior. With driving impressions, the CX-5’s acceleration, braking, and handling all feel precise. The new six-speed automatic transmission is what plays a big role with enhancing the new engine’s smooth and willing character performance. The 2014 is also the first complete Mazda to incorporate “SkyActiv” technologies. This system is to make every component to be designed as lightweight and high efficiency as possible. The new Mazda is built on a new structure, and it was strengthened with high-strength steel and re-engineered for better occupant safety. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gives the CX-5 an overall good rating for safety. The new Mazda also has safety features like stability and traction control, anti-lock brakes, and other safety control systems. With EPA ratings, the combined city and highway ratings are 29 mpg for most of the 2.0-liter models. Base MSRP is $21,396.
