Nissan Recalls 908,800 Vehicles for Sensor Problems

Nissan Motor Company recalled 908,800 all over the world. The reason for the recall was because of a defective accelerator sensor. This defection could cause the engine to stall. The sensors, which were manufactured in Japan, can malfunction and could cause the vehicle to slow down and stop at times. Vehicles that are affected by the recall are the Serena minivan, X-trail sport utility vehicle, Infiniti M luxury model, and several other models. Luckily, no accidents have been reported that are related to the problem. Recalls affect North America, Europe, Oceania, and the mostly in Japan. This is only one out of several large recalls for the automaker including 480,000 recalls due to airbag issues, 841,000 recalls due to steering issues, and 13,000 recalls due to problems with hardware in the body assembly.
