Almost 20 years ago, the Alfa Romeo exited the United States. For the Italian automaker, the 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C makes a return to the U.S. This beauty has both style and power. The Alfa is owned by Fiat, and the 4C is a follow-up to the 8C Competizione. Like the 8C Competizione, the 4C is a two-seat coupe with beautiful curves. There’s a mid-engine built around a carbon-fiber tub. Aluminum is used for crash support and the roof structures. The engine is also all aluminum, which keeps the weight down, and estimated weight is around 2,000 lbs. The engine is a turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder and produces 240 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. There are two offers that the 4C has with tire packages. These include a 17-inch tires in the front and 18-inch tires in the back, and 18-inch wheels in the front and 19-inch in the back. Also available will be a Brembo brake package as well as a race package that will include more aggressive tires and suspension.
The 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C is expected to have the U.S. model of this car in November. The starting price is estimated to be at least $70,000.
