First introduced back in 2013 as the Cadillac’s XTS, now Cadillac is upgrading this luxury sport car as the 2014 XTS Vsport. The XTS previously replaced the DTS and STS and ranks above the CTS in the Cadillac Company. The 2014 Cadillac XTS Vsport is offered in standard model and three collection options including the Luxury, Premium, and Platinum. A new Twin-Turbo 3.6-liter, 410 horsepower V6 engine is offered in the XTS Premium and Platinum Vsport models, but only with all-wheel drive. The standard XTS also has a 3.6-liter V6 engine but only generates 305 horsepower with a six-speed automatic transmission. You also have the option of a 410 horsepower with the standard XTS Vsport but with all-wheel drive. The engine uses small turbochargers and integral charge air coolers, which produce more than 12 psi of boost. 0 to 60 is under five seconds and rated 19 mpg combined (16 city and 24 highway.)
New features that are equipped with the new 2014 XTS Vsport include for four-wheel drive models an automatic parking assist and electric power steering. For all models, the 2014 Vsport comes with intellibeam headlights, rear-seat entertainment system availability, opaque sunroof sunshade, front passenger seat memory feature, GM’s HiPer Strut front suspension, Brembo disc brakes with aluminum calipers, and magnetic ride control, and so many other new amazing features.
Enhanced also in the Vsport is steering and suspension control along with 20 inch Bridgestone tires. With all-wheel drive, the system uses Haldex technology with electronic limited-slip differential to transfer power from the front to the back and also from side to side going along the rear axle.
Depending on which model you choose, you get both front and rear heated seats, and front wheel seats are ventilated. Also headed up is the steering wheel and head-up display. Interior also includes parking, front, and rear sensors, sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, 14-speaker Bose sound system, leather and wood trim, and so many more features.
Safety features include lane departure warning, blind spot detection, adaptive cruise control, low-speed automatic breaking, and front collision and rear cross-traffic alert. This beauty can carry five comfortably and since the last model, you get more luxury, comfort, spaciousness, and better eye appeal.
