Looking for a large luxury sedan? Check out the new 2014 Buick LaCrosse! Instead of a midsize sedan, this large sedan will give larger or taller families additional needed room. The new LaCrosse has redesigned exterior including a new hood, bumpers, lighting clusters, grille, and so many more features. This new and fresh exterior starts from to front and makes its way to the rear of the Buick.

You have a choice of four different trim levels. These trims consist of the Base, Leather, Premium 1, and Premium 2. With the base model, some features included are full power accessories, heated mirrors and auto-dimming mirror, OnStar, 110-volt power outlet, seven-speaker sound system, and so many others.

The Leather trim comes with features like fog lamps, rear park assist, driving memory setting, rearview camera, etc.

The Premium 1 trim has a 3.6-liter V6 engine with features like 19-inch wheels, upgraded suspension, heated leather or wood trimmed steering wheel, power rear window sunshade, etc. Only difference with the Premium 1 and the Premium 2 trim is 20-inch wheels and a navigation system are included.

You also get a variety of packages including Ultra Luxury Interior package and the Driver Confidence package #1 (on all trims but the base.) This Ultra Luxury Interior package has interior features like upgraded leather upholstery, simulated suede headliner, real wood accents on the dash, doors, and console, etc. The Driver Confidence package #1 has interior features like xenon headlights, side blind, lane change, and rear cross-traffic alerts, head-up display, etc. Only with the Premium trims, you can upgrade to the Driver Confidence package #2. This includes other features like fully adaptive cruise control and a vibrating safety alert driver seat.

For performance and drive, little has changed. You have a choice of two engines with the 2014 Buick LaCrosse. Standard engine for both base and front-wheel drive Leather trim are a powertrain called eAssist, which is like a hybrid but can’t fully perform on electric power. This powertrain gives the 2014 LaCrosse a fuel economy of 25 mpg city and 36 mpg highway. Unfortunately with the eAssist powertrain, the Buick is somewhat slow and a little noisy. You also get a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with an 11-kilowatt electric motor and lithium-ion battery with 182 horsepower, 172 pound-feet torque, and a six-speed auto transmission. Standard on everything else is a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 303 horsepower, 264 pound-feet torque, six-speed automatic, and front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is optional. Feel economy is estimated to be 18 mpg city and 28 mpg highway with front-wheel drive and 17 mpg city and 26 mpg highway with all-wheel drive.

Safety for the 2014 Lacrosse is standard. Some features include stability and traction control, antilock disc brakes, front, rear, and side airbags, stolen vehicle assistance, and so on. There is also optional safety features like blind spot monitoring or forward collision warning system. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave an overall rating of “Good” in numerous safety tests.

If you’re looking for a nice, smooth, luxury ride with a ton of room, the 2014 Buick LaCrosse could be the full-size sedan for you. Starting MSRP is estimated to be about $33,135.
