The all new 2014 Infiniti Q50 is the next generation of the company’s entry-level sport sedan. The “Q” will be replacing the “G” as their new naming strategy. The Q50 is the latest in Infiniti like the G37, but just with a different name. The previous Infiniti G series will be unchanged. The Q50’s exterior looks like an improvement of the Infiniti G series to make it into a topnotch luxury sport sedan. Standard under the hood is a 3.7-liter V6 engine with 328 horsepower, and for the first time, there’s a hybrid version of the new Infiniti. The hybrid has a horsepower of 354. All Q50s will come with a seven-speed automatic. Along with a new, sportier look, the 2014 Q50 also comes with some new and improved technology. Examples of some of the new technology are the twin-touchscreen electronics interface and a collision-prevention-based safety system. Like the Audi A4 or the Cadillac ATS, the 2014 Infiniti stays strong and worthy against its competitors. With the basic Q50, you have a choice of base, Premium, and Sport trim levels. For the Q50 hybrid, you have a choice of only Premium and Sport trims. The non-hybrid Premium and Sport models offer the Deluxe Touring package while the hybrid Premium and Sport models offer a Deluxe Technology package. All Infiniti Q50 sedans will come with standard safety which includes features like antilock brakes, front side airbags and side curtain airbags, and a rearview camera. The new Infiniti continues with its classy and stylish interior. The biggest interior change is a new and improved central touchscreen. Car handling and performance has somewhat improved. On the test drive, the Infiniti showed drivers and passengers mixed feelings. Overall, thoughts and feelings about the new Infiniti leave consumers unsure, but only you can make that judgment.
