Just like any Cadillac, this one is for the high rollers and luxury car lovers. This full-size SUV is more than 18 feet long and can comfortably transport up to eight people with baggage and luggage included. Unfortunately there are several negative aspects about the big body SUV, which includes getting around in heavy traffic or tiny garages. Unlike usual methods of making room by being able to fold in the back seats into the floor, the Cadillac Escalade ESV requires you to fully remove the entire seat from the car to get the full SUV capacity and space. The Cadillac also lacks in fuel efficiency. Beside all the downfalls of this car, this car still beats competitors like the Lincoln Navigator L. Under the hood, you have a 403-horspower V8 engine, which adds acceleration and towing capacity. A six-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive are standard, and the SUV can go from 0 to 60 in about 7 seconds. You have a choice of four trim levels: Base, Luxury, Premium, and Platinum Edition. Some standard exterior equipment and technology included in the entry-level Cadillac Escalade ESV are 18-inch alloy wheels, power-folding heated mirrors with driver-side auto-dimming, roof racks, rear parking sensors, and a keyless entry and ignition. Heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats with driver memory functions, 50/50-split third-row seat, power-adjustable pedals, touchscreen interface, leather upholstery, 10-speaker Bose surround-sound audio system with six-CD changer, and iPod/USB audio interface are some of the standard interior features and technology included in the entry-level Escalade. With the Luxury, Premium, and Platinum Edition trim, you get more options for the interior and exterior of the SUV. The 2014 Cadillac Escalade ESV comes with most of the expected safety equipment such as antilock disc brakes, front side airbags, OnStar, and stability control. The 2014 Cadillac has an overall “okay” driving capability. However, it does remarkable with driving smooth considering its big size and the handling is also better than expected.
