Chrysler is recalling almost 470,000 Jeep SUVs worldwide. The reason is because they can shift into neutral without any warning on the start-up. This recall affects 2005 – 2010 Grand Cherokees and 2006 – 2010 Commanders.
They have recalled over 295,000 vehicles in the United States, 28,500 in Canada, and 4,200 in Mexico. This problem does not affect the Jeep Grand Cherokee that Chrysler is selling today.
This problem has caused about 26 crashes and two injuries. Repairs to the damage in the circuit board will be at no cost to the owners.
